Writer Jorge Valls reads and discusses his poem "Where I am there is no light and it is barred" in the art studio of his friend Geandy Pavón. He wrote the poem while he was a political prisoner in Cuba. Valls' book of the same title won the Grand Prix at the 1983 International Poetry Festival in Rotterdam.

By Ivan Dominguez and Karen Zraick
