Patricia has worked as a senior editor at McCall's, managing editor at Harper's Bazaar, contributing editor at Vanity Fair, and a contributor at The New York Times Book Review, Sunday Arts and Leisure, and The Nation.
She is the author of Montgomery Clift: A Biography (1978), Diane Arbus: A Biography (1984), Anything Your Little Heart Desires: An American Family Story (1997), Marlon Brando: A Biography (2000). She earned her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence.
