Ruth S. Hochberger, an attorney, was editor-in-chief of the New York Law Journal, a daily newspaper for lawyers, for twelve years. During 25 years with American Lawyer Media and its predecessor company, she was a Law Journal feature reporter, publisher of 14 monthly newsletters for lawyers, managing editor of the Law Journal, and, as editor-in-chief, responsible for the paper’s Web site and a magazine for young lawyers, New York Lawyer. She began her career as a criminal defense lawyer for The Legal Aid Society in Manhattan.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College and a law degree from Boston College Law School.
