Graduation Information Sessions
We will hold two sessions at which students can learn all about the various graduation events, grading, awards, honors and more: Thursday, April 12, student lounge and Tuesday, April 24, 6-7 p.m., student lounge. Light refreshments served.
Cap and Gown Distribution
Commencement regalia will be distributed in the Columbia bookstore. A Grad Fair is scheduled March 20-22. During this time, you can purchase your souvenir cap, gown, and tassle. The cost is $50.00. Vendors will also be available for ordering Columbia jewelry and diploma frames. There will be a 10% discount on all frames purchased during the Fair. Caps and gowns will remain available for sale up until commencement in May. However, the deadline to purchase them at the $50 price is April 6. After that date, there will be a $20 late fee. Also, as time gets closer to graduation day, size availability cannot be guaranteed. Regalia is not available for rent, only for purchase.
Graduation Ticket Distribution
Beginning on May 4, you may pick up your tickets in the Dean's Suite once you have completed your online graduation survey, which will be conducted by Career Services and Alumni Relations. A link to the survey, which will take just a few minutes to complete, will be sent to you on or about May 4. You are asked to submit an up-to-date copy of your resume (indicating that you have graduated and including permanent contact information) when you pick up your tickets. Each graduate receives four tickets for the Journalism School Graduation Ceremony & four for the University Commencement. (As of May 4, part-time students can contact Melanie Huff about having tickets mailed if necessary). If you need more tickets, please arrange to trade with other students (the school does not get involved.)

Dear Classmates, Faculty, Adjuncts, & Staff: Please join us for our first, and hopefully annual, graduation picnic. The entrance is on 100th Street and 5th Avenue. Hope to see you there.
