Returning to Your Pro Tools Session

If you are returning to a session that you have already set up or have started recording into, use the following instructions to open the session:

If the screen is mostly blank, log in as Student by clicking on the down-arrow symbol next to the "Name" box until "Student" is highlighted.

Restart your computer! This clears the computer's memory and helps prevent errors and crashes. To do this, use the menu in the upper right corner of the screen and select "Finder." Then, at the top-center of your screen pull down the "Special" menu and select "Restart."
Log in as "Student" again.
Click on the "Students’ Folder" to open it.
Click on your personal folder to open it.
Double-click on your Pro Tools session symbol, which looks like a reel of tape. IMPORTANT: Don't use the template icon on the desktop. That's only for starting a new, blank session.

· Your Pro Tools session will start up with all of your elements as you last left it. You're ready to being editing your session.
