The bodies of 12 senior citizens killed in a Chilean bus crash are heading home today. Ten of the victims were from Monroe Township, New Jersey and Two others were from Stamford Connecticut. All were traveling together on a South American Cruise on Celebrity Cruise lines.
The group had been on a side excursion, Wednesday, When, their van tumbled down a mountainside.
The bus tour was not affiliated with the cruise line. Chilean officials said that the van was illegal and not authorized to carry passengers. Investigators suspect the driver fell asleep.

New York City will launch a child-welfare tracking system based on the NYPD's successful CompStat program.
Starting next month, ChildStat will track the number and neighborhoods of child-abuse reports.
The system will follow Child abuse investigations, identify repeated reports and monitor the response of case workers.

Contract negotiations between transport workers and the MTA are going to a New York State Arbitration Panel.
The binding arbitration comes Three months after a strike shut down New York's busses and subways. After the strike, union workers rejected a proposed agreement with the MTA by seven votes.
Union leaders plan a re-vote, but MTA officials say their last offer is no longer on the table. The parties can reach an agreement during the arbitration processwhich could take several months.

Two dozen Prize Race horses died in a fire this morning at New Jersey's largest Horse Farm.
The fire at Perretti Farms in Upper Freehold specializes in the breeding and racing of Standard horses.
