Running the Phone Hybrid: (Gentner)
Set up board:
- CR Mike ON, move slider to dot.
Lights directly above mike slider should be lit:
red
(pgm), green
(audition), yellow
(mono).
- Turn ON Telephone #1 (7-7897) or #2 (7-7896), move
slider up to dot.
Lights above slider should be as follows:
red-ON;
green-ON;
yellow-OFF.
- Set up recording device
-- tape recorder (pause-record together)
-- Pro Tools: you will need a portable Jazz
cartridge.
- Set up Gentner: red
(record) - ON; yellow
(cue) - ON.
- Make call, speaking through phone. Switch to Gentner
by pushing Green
button. Now your talk through the mike and listen through
the earphones. Adjust levels if needed. Press Play on
recording device.
- When finished with interview, turn off recording
device, turn off Gentner.
Connections to 511A and 511B Workstations:
Lights on Board:
First five modules (from left):
red-ON;
green-ON,
yellow-ON
All other modules:
red-ON;
green-ON;
yellow-OFF.
Speaker/headphone module:
red OR
green.
