A Radio Master's Project is a radio documentary report or series
of reports exploring a single topic, totaling approximately 25-30
minutes of air time. Master's documentaries aim for the highest
level of sound production and storytelling achievement, including
scene building and multilayered sound mixing using Pro Tools.
Proposals are subject to approval of the broadcast faculty. Students
submitting proposals must be enrolled in or have completed Broadcast
RW1 or Radio Skills. Students enrolled in Print RW1 may submit
radio master's proposals if, in addition to taking Radio Skills,
they show serious, sustained interest in radio, such as previous
radio journalism experience and/or plans to take at least one
other advanced radio course, such as Radio Workshop or Radio Documentary
(elective).
