Before moving to New York, Nadja freelanced in print and radio in West Africa, traveling with the likes of a Senegalese diva on tour to Mauritania, Canada's former prime minister in Sierra Leone, and refugees returning home to Liberia.
She produced and directed "Between Midnight and the Rooster's Crow", an award-winning documentary about the controversies plaguing a Canadian oil company in Ecuador.
She hails from Canada with a background in social justice work. She spent several years at NGOs working on environmental and human rights issues in Latin America, most recently at the Canadian Council for International Co-operation in Ottawa.
